Two GW Law Graduates to Clerk for U.S. Supreme Court During October 2012 Term

2011/12/13

The Clerkship Committee has informed me that two of our former students will be clerking at the Supreme Court during the October 2012 Term.  Mark Taticchi (’10) will be clerking for Justice Kennedy and Ryan Watson (’07) will be clerking for Justice Alito.  After graduating from GW, Mark clerked for Judge Sandra Ikuta on the Ninth Circuit, and Ryan clerked for Judge Janice Rogers Brown on the D.C. Circuit.  At least in the modern era, this is the first time that GW Law will have two law clerks at the Supreme Court during the same Term.  This is a testament both to the quality of our students and to the extraordinary support of our faculty and staff in helping our students obtain judicial clerkships at all levels.

There were two GW law clerks during OT05. I certainly hope that is part of the modern era!
